Dernier Cri : MTV Video Music Awards 2017

I stopped watching award shows for the actual awards themselves and more for the fashion on the red carpet and antics that some of these new (and established) artists pull a long time ago. I'll walk through the antics of the night later but for now... Let's take a look at the best and the worst Fashion on Dernier Cri :

MTV VMA's - 2017 Edition!

First Up...

WORST : Katy Perry

Best Impression of a Dress with a taco chip attached dipped in ranch dressing. Gross. Also - not everything needs to be about showing the cleavage to distract from your hair. Show some leg next time - cover the girls up and dare to be different.

WORST : Lorde

I'm not sure what she was going for with this dress but she failed misarbly. The top reminds me of a brides maid's dress while the bottom looks like the string gum (Big League anyone?) was hot glued onto a large bottom piece. This does nothing for her shape let alone her look - at least the colour works well with her skin tone.

BEST : Demi Lovato

To call this the "BEST" is a far stretch but it's going in that category for the fact that it doesn't murder it's own look. Lovato works her upper half well while she is keeping the bottom half fun and in line with her overall look. GRL

BEST : 21 Savage and Amber Rose

Putting aside the fact that 21 Savage looks like he expects to be pulled over with those tats - he is actually quite on point with his fashionably outrages outfit. The white glasses are just enough of the over the top to make him stand out but for all the right reasons - I just pray to god he is wearing strong deodorant.

Amber Rose - Jesus she looks amazing! What a great dress and design to complement her amazing body, this couple just basically nailed it.

WORST : CALVIN HARRIS

Far from the Worst but long lost from Best, Calvin Harris has too much money to be dressing like this for an awards show. Just no all around. That shirt his hideous , those pants look like they are discount brand store bought and the 70's porn stache doesn't help his cause. Hey Calvin - Vivid Entertainment called - they see a bright future for you!

BEST : CARDI. B

Not sure I even know who this bitch is but DAMN she is demanding me to take notice of her in this outfit. WOWZA A cross between late 80's Madonna and Star Wars Cardi B. make everyone gag over her chest and arms as she shows off just the right amount while looking powerful doing it. That hair and stare says Don't f**k with this Woman.

BEST & WORST : Jessica Andrea & Logic

Canada's own Logic fails HORRIBLY at even attempting a look. Apparently someone told him he would be the stunt double for a younger Steve Jobs rather than a damn awards show! Dude kept his overall bargain basement look he has had throughout his unique public life - can't fault him keeping it 100. Awesome SNEAKERS though.

Jessica Andrea (who?) keeps things classy and looks like she is in a dress that's a 10 when in reality she is enhanced by the Ugly/Fat Factor where-as if she is in a group or next to someone who is substantially uglier or fatter (or in this case far worse dresser) than the girl (or guy) will look 10 times better. Although Jessica is dressed very well she is paired with the worst candidate to highlight her focus in this pic.

BEST : Machine Gun Kelly

First off - hello 90's boy band stare! MGK is actually standing out from his male counter parts by making an example of great taste in everyday style with flare.

This entire outfit is perfect - matching tones, colours , lines - the whole thing comes together right down to the slick black and white SNEAKERS.

The only thing this outfit is missing is a small gold chain necklace (although the wrist bracelet is an updated version of this for men now a days).

WORST : Paris Jackson

It's as if Paris Jackson woke up and thought - " What are the many ways I can f**k this up?"

1. Make poor choices about my hair style - CHECK

2. Overdue my eye make-up - CHECK

3. Wear a gross coloured bra and make sure ALL of it is showing - CHECK

4. Wear granny style underwear in the same gross colour as the bra - CHECK

5. Make sure the underwear is FULLY showing - CHECK

6. Wear a see-through dress - CHECK

7. Makesure the pattern on the dress is HIDEOUS - CHECK

This bitch checked all the WRONG boxes and ended up with this mess... My Eyes!

BEST : Nicki Minaj

Wow! Nicki Minaj bringing back memories of her Pink Album promotional art - she looks damn fine in Pink and she knows it. Everything is on point for her (as usual). The earrings are a little too big for my taste but that's her - over the top. The necklace, hair, makeup, wristbands and shoes are all sickening. FIERCE.

WORST : DJ Khaled (& Family)

OMG. WTF. Why is the second most famous name who appears on everyone else's tracks (First is of course Pitbull) wearing this absolute turd of an outfit.

Wear on earth did he even get this thing? Athletes World For Stoners? Aside from his charming wife and adorable child you can't help but wonder what he was thinking when he paired those pants meant for gym rats and strippers (neither of which he obviously is) and NOT for awards show red carpet!

WORST : Billy Echner

Boring. Just plain and far too boring. I couldn't be bothered to take the time to explain why this one is just plain. That shirt - what is that - upgraded Ralph Lauren? Ugh. The unshaven just finished a drinking game look goes well with those basic shoes.

The added watch would have completed this outfit if it wasn't gold.

WORST : Vanessa Hudgens

Oh this poor girl. Whoever let her go out on the carpet like this should have their arms broken. The make-up and hair are on point. The top of this dress is flattering, simple and yet elegant ; and then you get to the bottom half. YIKES! Sorry hunny but the doors to the brothel are closed for the night.
